Stop! Grateful Time!

Life is crazy...

..not even necessarily because of rough times,
but just the day to day drudgery craziness.

In those times it's so very easy, to just wallow.

In boredom.
*wishing you had more to do*

In the frantic pace.
*I wish I had LESS to do*

In envy.
*I wish I had what she has*

In self pity.
*Why can't my life be easier?*

As I was cleaning up a bit around the house today, I felt this tugging at my heart.

"Be thankful. Find beauty in the ordinary"

Like this beautiful bedding, given to my daughter by a beautiful lady.
RIGHT at the time when we needed it.

Or this lovely printable, given so generously by a beautiful heart. To encourage others.
That now sits atop our piano as a much needed reminder.

 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Or this "ink" of mine.
Drawn by a "kindred spirit", duplicated on another piece of my heart.
Serving as a reminder of life's ups and downs.

Or this simple moment of practicing for "Kindergarten Graduation", given as a sweet gift by a sweet teacher.
Embracing us, even though our path took a different turn this year.

All of these "ordinary" things...are in fact, extraordinary.

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

James 1:2-4
